Longaberger Basket Anyone?

Thought I'd do a quick post on a small selection of Longabergers that I'm putting in my garage sale.  I'm really getting rid of a lot, and each day it seems like I decide to get rid of something else.  I have been storing these baskets for some time now and thought they should be out where they can be appreciated - not stored in a box in the basement.  They are in perfect condition.  Don't know if the photo turned out very well, but you can click on it to make it bigger.

Remember, my sale is this Friday from 7 in the morning until 11.  There will be an ad in this week's North County News.  Watch for it!

Bye Bye Vera!

I'm nearing the end of pricing everything for the garage sale.  On this post I decide to show some of the Vera Bradley bags that I will have for sale.  Not all of them fit in these photos, there are more!  I will also be selling some designer bags, Maxx New York, Coach, and Gianini Bernini, just to name a few.  Remember to click on the photo to see it up close!

Shoe Sale!

Just a quick post to show you my garage sale shoe assortment.  I always price my shoes 25 cents a pair - cheap at twice the price!  I wear a size 8 1/2 so that's what most of these are.  If there's a pair that's not that size, they still fit my 8 1/2 foot.

Every pair on the second shelf is Clarks.  So are the boots on the bottom right.    The sandals located between the pink flip flops are Birkenstocks and are very cute.  Remember to get a close up view, click on the photo.  You may even be able to click once more for a super duper close up!  I tried to place each pair of shoes so that you have a nice view of both the front and back.

Enjoy!

Garage Sale Post of the Day!

It took me quite some time to ready this post today.  Early on I decided to clean out a coat closet, all the while piling the coats for the sale at the top of the steps.  Oops!  The pile grew so high that I couldn't get the door open to get downstairs.

As you can see I did finally make it to the basement to work a bit more.  What you see here is a selection of lamps, lamp bases, lamp shades, and battery operated candles.  If you click on the photo, it will enlarge, and you'll be able to get a much closer look at them.  Prices range from 25 cents up to $20.

Shirts and Jackets and Skirts, Oh My!

Today I felt like posting some photos of clothing items for my garage sale.  I tried to separate them into categories that make sense, at least for me.

First up today is a lovely selection of sweaters and cardigans.  Yes, I am aware that it's going to be 95 degrees tomorrow, but you'll be thankful you bought them in five months!

This is the same rack as pictured above, but with various styles of tops added to the right end.  There are t-shirts, both long and short sleeves, casual shirts, as well as blouses.  Everything on this rack is priced at either 25 cents or 50 cents.

Dress pants, jeans, lounge-style pants (think Victoria's Secret PINK), and leggings are lined up here...again 25 and 50 cents.  This selection may end up growing as I have a chest of drawers that I want to go through before the sale.

Skirts for the working girls out there!  Most are mediums/size 8, and most are priced at $1.  What a bargain!

Jackets, most are mediums/size 8 or 10, and most are priced at $1and $2.

These photos show only about half of the clothing in the sale.  I also have a selection of ladies' business suits, dresses and a few winter coats.  All just waiting to go home to a new closet.

Work Has Begun!

Today is my first full day off school, and work has begun on my garage sale.  I thought that this year I would try something different.  Each day I am going to post a photo of something that will be in the sale. That should also encourage me to work more on the sale and not sit around the house watching HGTV!

Here is the first "gem" that's going into the sale.  Originally I had grand plans for this piece.  I envisioned  painting it some interesting color and rubbing the paint off the edges.  Obviously, that didn't happen.  Instead, I've been using it to display my collection of Vera Bradley bags, but that's a post for another day.  (Hint!  Hint!)

Anyway, this sturdy piece could be used in a multitude of ways.  Of course, it is first and foremost, a China cabinet and would be fine for that.  I think it would look adorable in a baby's room, especially if someone did paint it.  Stuffed animals and collectibles could be displayed behind the glass doors, and diapers, wipes, etc., could be stored out of sight behind the lower doors.  At one point, I considered removing all my Vera Bradleys and using it as a craft cabinet where I could store all my Cricut cartridges.  If you are interested, it will be $25 on garage sale day.

I know that many of you are interested in the date for the sale.  The official day is Friday, June 17, 7:00 to 11:00 in the morning.
