Today I'm going to show you how I organized the closet in our master bathroom.  Again, I must regretfully admit that I neglected to take a "before" photograph.  Trust me, however, it was pretty scary.
The first thing I did was pull everything off the shelves and onto the floor.  I then sorted the "keepers" from some items that had seen better days.  After all, do we really need 8 sets of flannel sheets?  I think not.
The very top shelf has an extra mattress cover.  A basket of pillowcases, labeled using my new Xyron, of course, is in the basket on the second shelf.  Next to them there's a stack of flat sheets.
Underneath that shelf are two more baskets.  These hold all our fitted sheets.  I like the fitted sheets inside the baskets so much better than simply folded on the shelves.  You never can get them to look neat.  I have even tried folding the per Martha Stewart's guidelines to no avail.
To the left, just out of the camera shot, you can see my nail basket sitting atop two sets of plastic drawers.
I have certainly been inspired by that Xyron sticker maker.  I hope these photos inspire you to do a little spring cleaning for yourself!

Project 1 - Pantry Organization

I decided to tackle the organization of the pantry in the kitchen as it's been in need of some cleaning out for quite some time now.  I wish I would have taken a "before" photo when I began, but unfortunately the thought didn't even cross my mind.  Another great photo would have been a shot of all our food spread out all over the kitchen countertops.  As it turns out, I only have "after" photos to show.
Can you tell that there's nothing on the floor?  As far as I'm concerned, that's the best part!  If you click on the photo you can get a close-up view of my fabulous labels that were created using both my Cricut and the new Xyron sticker maker.
On the top shelf I have a basket filled with Mr. Home For All Seasons lunch supplies.  Yes, I make his lunch everyday.  To the left is a plastic container for the bread.  On the right I have a few magazine files with recipe books in them.  To the far left is a basket of my favorite personal recipes.
On the next shelf is a basket that holds boxed food items.  To the left are coffees and teas.  On the right are containers of breakfast items.
On the shelf below the breakfast items, I put containers of snacks on the left and pasta, rice and noodles on the right.  The baskets hold canned goods.  Remember, you can click on the photo for a close-up to see the labels.
Here's the bottom shelf.  Sorry it's a tad crooked, but this pantry is located in a hallway off the kitchen, and the wall does not allow me much room for taking a shot straight on.  This basket holds miscellaneous items that wouldn't fit anywhere else.  Things like oils, salad dressings, and syrup.
Of course I had to organize the shelves on the pantry door, too.  I do think Mr. Home For All Seasons has enough grilling spices, don't you?

My New Little Toy!

For quite some time now I've had my creative little eyes on this baby.  Finally, after seeing all the fun DaNita, at Delightful Order, is having with hers, I went ahead and bought one.
Isn't it cute?  It's a Xyron 5 inch sticker maker, and I've already been very busy using it.  Just wait until you see what I've done.  Mr. Home For All Seasons will be shocked when he returns from his business trip.
It didn't come with very good directions, which concerned me at first.  No worries, though.  It is soooo easy to use, a definite "no brainer."
I simply cannot wait to show you what I've done with my new little sticker maker.  To say the least, I think you will want one of these little guys, too!
