Happy New Year!

A Little Bit of Christmas

     Although all our trees this year were not full size, we did have a total of five!  Only two were large - one nine feet tall and one six feet tall.  Here I am with the nine footer.

Both of these photos were taken on my birthday, December 15th.  I took the day off work in order to help her hostess a Christmas party for all the ladies in her Home Extension group.  The photo below is Mom and me on Christmas Eve.

A Sneak Peak

     Thought I'd post a photo of this year's living room tree.  I'm not sure this bad boy's going to make it after this year.  He's a prelit 12 footer and goes together in three pieces.  Last year his top third refused to light so I quickly wrapped a single strand of lights around that section and "made do."  Figured I'd fix it this year.  Well, I gave up that idea after about 45 minutes.  Hubby tried, too - no luck there either, so back to the single strand from last year.  This year there's suddenly a band of lights around the middle piece that refuse to light.  We bent some branches here and there hoping to fill in some of the spaces with lights, but if you look closely you can still spot some dark areas.  I think you can see a couple dark spots in the top section where my lack of lighting skill really shows.

     I'm still working on the rest of the house.  I plan on a complete Christmas home tour later this week.
