Angels we have heard on high!

It occurred to me that I never posted a photo of our angel collection.  Well here they are atop our mantle in all their Christmas glory.  I think you can click on the photo to view  a close up of them.  When I took the photo I never saw the rainbow arching over them, but if you look closely when you click on it you'll see it, too!  How cool is that!?  Rex and I have collected these angles throughout our marriage, often retiring one or two when we find a more lovely replacement.  We are to the point now where we are very particular about our angel selections.  The dark bronze angel just to the left of center is our most recent acquisition.

It's Christmas Time!

Yes, our home is full of good cheer.  Since I had no time to post any photos earlier, I thought now is as good a time as any.  the white tree pictured above is in our bedroom.  Since the window in this room faces the street, I always like to have a tree in here.  Although this tree is my favorite (this year) it's not our main tree.  The photo show below is our main tree.  The great room has a vaulted ceiling so it's able to support this 9 foot pre-lit artificial tree.  This photo is from Christmas last year.  It's basically the same this year.  The only difference is the entertainment center on the left is no longer in the room.  Earlier this year, Rex purchased his Sony and the entertainment center had to go!

The photos here show our table set for Christmas dinner.  Notice the napkins folded like little elf boots.  Aren't they cute?  I found the directions in this month's Romantic Homes Magazine.

Here's a close-up of a place setting.  You can see the elf boot napkin much better in this shot.
I do hope you all had a very blessed Christmas this year.  May your 2009 be filled with all life's good things.
